Toy Service Sunday 9th December 2012

On Sunday 9th December our Toy Service saw children from our organisations bring good quality toys wrapped as Christmas Presents to be given to children in need throughout the borough.

The presents are to be distributed by The Children's Society Refugees Project, based at Wesley Hall and by the Social Services at Darwen Children's Centre.  During the service we learned something of the work of these two organisations as Cal McKenna from the Children's Society and Joyce Pickup from Darwen children's Centre told us of their work and some stories of how the presents are greatly needed.

Thank You to all who brought presents, if anyone would like to donate a Christmas Present to a child in need in the Borough of Blackburn with Darwen these can be brought to the Vicarage and David will gladly see that it goes to one of the two organisations we learned about.
