Immanuel Men's Group
is an unofficial series of social events open to all men
with no joining fee!
Our aim is to foster a sense of men's fellowship at Immanuel and, by so doing, reach out to more men to come and join us in our wider fellowship.
We have lots of laughs, some drinks and discuss ways in which the world could be a better place - the only trouble is that no one notices our ideas!
The one thing that we all have noticed though
is what a good night we all have.
Keep looking for news of our next event, all men very welccome!
Mens’ Fellowship Trip to Thwaites Brewery,
Tuesday 24th November 2012
On Tuesday 24th November 16 men from Immanuel and St Aidan’s enjoyed a fascinating trip round the Thwaites’ Brewery in Blackburn. We learned the difference between lager and ale fermentation (do you know?!) and saw at first hand the intricate process by which the esteemed brown liquid we all love so much comes about. After the trip, which lasted about one and a half hours , we repaired to the visitor centre (the old 'Daniel' Pub in which several of the men had mis-spent part of their youth) and were revitalised by a lovely hot pot supper and four vouchers for the product we had just seen made!
